Mike and Gloria, I read about your blog in the Deseret News. How exciting to be witnessing the wonderful work in Africa.

How exciting this is. My wife and I were in Liberia when it was re-opened for missionary work. We were there when the first four young men were there to start teaching the Gospel again.

It is good to know that the mission has progressed and Liberia has become safe enough for sister missionaries to serve there.

We still communicate with many of our African friends, and wish we could serve there again.

Our Stake has been sending little dresses with Dr.Parker from Ventura, California. The dresses, t-shirts and hygiene kits are being sent through The Lighthouse Ministry & is nondemoninational & based out of Santa Monica. Too bad we can't send them directly through with the Church. The Dr. is a MD and will be going again in late fall for two weeks. I would like for you to meet Dr. Parker when he is working. I think some members will be volunteering to go on these 2 week missions. I am grinning ear to ear knowing you are truly serving in the poorest country in the world. Our prayers are with you. Love, Susan Laz
